Licensed HVAC Repair in Macomb, MI

When your furnace quits during a January cold snap or your AC gives out in July, the last thing you want is an unlicensed technician guessing at the fix. A Plus Heating and Cooling is a licensed and insured HVAC contractor serving Macomb, and we have delivered professional licensed HVAC repair to homeowners and businesses across Macomb Township and the surrounding communities since 1999. Call us today at +1 248-629-7075 to schedule service.

Why Licensing Matters for Your HVAC Repair

Licensed HVAC repair gives you verified proof that the technician working on your home meets Michigan's legal standards. In Michigan, contractors must hold a Mechanical Contractor License issued through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Bureau of Construction Codes, Mechanical Division. Technicians who work on refrigerant-containing systems must also hold an EPA Section 608 certification, which is a federal requirement under the Clean Air Act.

Hiring a contractor who cannot produce these credentials means your repair may not be code-compliant, your warranty could be voided, and your household may face safety risks with no legal recourse.

We also handle city certifications and inspections for furnaces and water heaters, so you can be confident every job we touch meets the requirements of your municipality.

Is Your HVAC Technician Licensed?

Every technician we send to your home is backed by our Michigan Mechanical Contractor License and EPA Section 608 certification. Our credentials are not a formality. They represent years of documented field experience and a thorough working knowledge of the Michigan Mechanical Code. When you call us for licensed HVAC repair, you are not rolling the dice on an unlicensed handyman. You are getting a professional who has earned the legal right to perform that work.

We have been family-owned and locally operated for more than 25 years, and our reputation across Macomb County is built on doing the job right the first time.

Our Licensed HVAC Repair Process

We follow a clear, consistent process on every repair call, so you always know what to expect. Here is how a typical service visit works:

  1. You call +1 248-629-7075 or book online, and we confirm your appointment with an estimated arrival window.
  2. Our licensed technician arrives, reviews your system's history, and performs a thorough diagnostic to find the root cause of the problem.
  3. We explain exactly what we found, what the repair involves, and what it will take to fix it correctly before any work begins.
  4. We complete the repair using quality parts, verify system performance, and confirm everything is running safely before we leave.
  5. We provide you with documentation of the work performed, so you have a record for your warranty and any future service needs.

This process applies whether we are handling a heating repair, an AC repair, or a more complex heat pump repair or installation.

Serving Macomb Township and Surrounding Communities

Macomb Township is one of the fastest-growing communities in Macomb County, with established neighborhoods like Macomb Corners near Romeo Plank Road and 25 Mile Road, West Park Estates, Deerfield Park, and subdivisions stretching toward Shelby Township and Washington Township to the north. The area's newer home construction often means larger systems with more square footage to condition, and Michigan's wide seasonal temperature swings put real stress on both heating and cooling equipment.

We serve all of Macomb Township and the broader region, including Sterling Heights, Clinton Township, Utica, Shelby Township, Chesterfield Township, Mount Clemens, and more. Whether your system is in a sprawling subdivision off Romeo Plank Road or a commercial building near the 23 Mile Road corridor, our licensed technicians can be there promptly.

Our Elite Maintenance Plan is a popular choice for Macomb Township homeowners who want to stay ahead of problems before the heating or cooling season hits. Preventive maintenance can often catch developing issues early and help your equipment last longer.
